1. About This Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the MediTime Android application handles, where that information is stored, and when information is sent to an external service. It applies to the current release of the application and to this website.

2. About MediTime and the Developer

MediTime is a personal medication reminder and dose-recording utility developed by Nazmul Hoque Nahin. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency services.

3. Information Stored Locally on the Device

The following information is entered by you and stored in a local SQLite database on your device:

  • Profile name, age and gender
  • Medicine names you add
  • Reminder schedules and reminder times
  • Records of doses you mark as taken or missed

This information is not uploaded to a MediTime account or server, because the current release has no account system or cloud sync.

4. Medicine-Name Autocomplete

While you type a medicine name, the text currently in the field is transmitted to the autocomplete service so that matching medicine names can be returned. This request requires an internet connection. The autocomplete service returns medicine names only — it does not provide dosage information, treatment advice, interaction checks, prescriptions or any other clinical information.

Until these are verified, this policy does not state that autocomplete requests are anonymous or unlogged.

5. Information MediTime Does Not Intentionally Collect

MediTime does not ask for and does not intentionally collect your contact list, precise location, photos, files, health records from other applications, or payment information. It does not require an email address or phone number.

6. Android Permissions

MediTime requests the notification permission so reminders can be shown at the times you choose, exact-alarm and background-scheduling access so reminders fire on time, and internet access for medicine-name autocomplete. Permissions can be changed at any time in Android settings; withdrawing the notification permission stops reminders from being displayed.

7. Third-Party Services

MediTime uses Supabase to host the medicine-name database used by autocomplete. Requests to Supabase contain the medicine-name text being typed. Supabase processes these requests as a service provider and applies its own privacy and security practices.

8. How Information Is Used

Locally stored information is used to display your medicine list, trigger the reminders you scheduled, show a personal greeting, and keep your taken and missed counts. Autocomplete text is used only to return matching medicine names. Information is not used for advertising or profiling.

9. Data Sharing

MediTime does not sell your information and does not share your medicine schedules or dose records with third parties. The only outbound transmission in the current release is the autocomplete query described in section 4. Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law.

10. Data Security

Locally stored information is protected by the security controls of your device and its operating system, such as your screen lock and application sandboxing. Autocomplete requests are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Your information remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual medicines and their records inside the application, and clearing the application data or uninstalling MediTime removes the local database from your device. Because there is no account, there is no server-side copy of your schedules or dose records to delete.

12. Children’s Privacy

MediTime is intended for use by adults managing their own medicine reminders. A parent or guardian should set up and supervise reminders created for a child.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy will be updated when the application changes — for example if accounts, cloud sync or analytics are introduced. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
