Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MediTime handles information when you use the application and its website.

MediTime is published under the developer name Quasaryn.

1. Introduction

MediTime is a medicine reminder application designed to help you create medicine schedules and receive reminders. We respect your privacy and have designed the application so that your saved medicine and reminder information remains on your device.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device:

• Saved medicine names
• Medicine descriptions and notes
• Dosage and schedule information
• Reminder times and preferences
• Taken, missed, and reminder-history information
• Profile information you enter, such as display name, age, and gender
• App language, theme, and other preferences
• Information used by home-screen widgets

This information is stored in the application’s private local storage on your device. MediTime does not upload, synchronize, or back up this saved information to our servers.

• There is currently no account or login.
• There is no cloud synchronization.
• Removing the app or clearing its app data may permanently remove locally stored information.
• You can delete medicines and related information from within the app at any time.

3. Medicine-Name Suggestions

When you search for a medicine while adding a reminder, the text you type is securely sent to an external medicine database service so that matching medicine names can be returned. This request is used only to provide autocomplete suggestions.

• The typed search text may be partial, such as the first few letters of a medicine name.
• Saved medicines, schedules, notes, history, and profile information are not included in this request.
• The feature requires internet access.
• If the service is unavailable or your device is offline, you can continue by entering the medicine name manually.
• The external service provider may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, user-agent, request time, and response status, for service operation, security, and troubleshooting.
• MediTime does not intentionally store autocomplete search text in its own local medicine or reminder database as a separate search-history feature.

4. Medicine Photo Scanning

To help you enter a medicine name more quickly, MediTime can capture a photo of a printed medicine package or strip. The image is processed on your device using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The photo is not uploaded to MediTime’s servers and is not saved to your device’s photo gallery.

Temporary Image Processing and Retention

The captured image may exist temporarily in the application or operating-system cache while you review, crop, and scan it. During the normal scanning flow, temporary image files are deleted when you retake the photo, cancel the flow, confirm a detected name, or leave the scanner. Raw OCR lines and unselected text candidates are not stored as medicine records.

Selected Text and Medicine Suggestions

When you select a detected medicine name, that text is inserted into the existing Medicine Name field. As with a manually typed medicine name, the selected medicine-name text may be sent securely to MediTime’s medicine-name suggestion service to return matching suggestions. Captured photos, raw OCR output, saved medicines, and reminder information are not included in that request.

Your Control

Photo Scan is optional. You can cancel the scan, retake the image, select the appropriate detected text, manually edit the resulting medicine name, or enter the medicine name without using the camera.

5. Permissions and Device Features

MediTime requests certain Android permissions to provide its core reminder functionality.

Notifications

MediTime requests notification permission to display medicine reminders.

Camera Permission

MediTime requests access to your camera only when you choose to use the medicine photo-scan feature. Camera permission is not required for manually entering a medicine name or using the app’s other core reminder features.

Alarms and reminders

MediTime may request Android’s Alarm & Reminder permission so that reminders can be scheduled as accurately as the device allows.

Restart and update recovery

MediTime uses Android system events to restore eligible reminders after a device restart, supported unlock events, or an app update.

Vibration and continuous reminders

If you enable supported reminder modes, MediTime may use vibration, sound, a foreground service, and wake-lock functionality to keep an active reminder running until it is handled.

Internet

Internet access is used only for medicine-name suggestions and for opening external website pages such as this Privacy Policy.

Permissions are used only for application functionality. You control whether optional permissions are granted, and permission settings can be changed later through Android system settings. Reminder delivery depends on your device’s settings, power management, and manufacturer restrictions, so an exact-second delivery cannot be guaranteed under every condition.

6. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

MediTime does not currently include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, behavioral tracking tools, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, or other third-party crash-reporting services.

• MediTime does not sell personal information.
• MediTime does not use saved medicine information for advertising.
• MediTime does not create advertising profiles.

7. Sharing of Information

MediTime does not share the medicine information, schedules, notes, reminder history, or profile information stored on your device.

Autocomplete request information is processed only by the external medicine database service required to return suggestions and operate that service. This provider does not receive your saved medicine records, schedules, notes, or reminder history.

8. Data Security

• Local app data is stored inside the application’s private storage area on your device.
• Network requests to the external medicine database service use encrypted HTTPS connections.
• No digital storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
• You are responsible for maintaining your device’s security, such as using a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Local information

Local information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the application. MediTime cannot remotely recover or delete locally stored information because there is no user account or cloud copy.

Autocomplete service

Standard technical request information may be processed temporarily by the external service provider according to its own operational, security, and retention practices.

10. Website Privacy

The MediTime website is primarily an informational website. It does not currently use advertising, behavioral analytics, user accounts, or tracking cookies. The website’s hosting infrastructure may process standard server-request information, such as IP address, browser type, request time, and requested page, for security and reliable delivery.

11. Children’s Privacy

MediTime is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an online account or cloud service. The application does not currently provide account creation, social features, or public content sharing.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MediTime’s features, permissions, or information-handling practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
